Available for assignments and commissions. My main focus is in documentary, portraiture and travel. I am based in London.

Born in South East London, I am the daughter of teachers, sister of a severely disabled brother, and granddaughter of freedom fighters, political activists and peace advocates. My heritage is British and Polish.

A dual sense of attachment to place has been the wellspring of my work, in trying to understand my histories and those of nations, borders and peoples. I strive to make authentic, observant, and emotionally engaged photographs, often lead by colour and feeling. My work focuses on topographical and historical connections between people and environment, trying to capture the intensity of lives lived. I am interested in the influence of place, and the shape of it around us, as we follow in the footsteps of those who came before.

As a trained actress, the intersection of performance and photography interests me. In 2013, I completed the Masters at London College of Communication lead by Paul Lowe and Max Houghton. I now lecture there regularly. In January 2016 I founded Photo Scratch, a work-in-progress and networking event for documentary photographers in London. As well as my documentary projects and commissions, I collaborate with artists, musicians and filmmakers and find each new relationship extends the possibility of the photographic image.

Whilst I was born and raised in London, my surname is Polish and is pronounced Yen-drosh.
